World History Question:

How does the study of world history relate to our global, contemporary culture? In other words, what is it about the study of history that is relevant for our thinking today?

Sorry, guys. I only just got this. As for the question, if you have been studying, I am sure you are better off than you think. What I want you to tell me is first what history is; then tell me how the study of history reveals a certain logic of things (give examples from class...think pre civilization); finally show how the study of history can help reveal that logic of our global culture today (with all its complexities and questions). You will probably have to also define culture. I hope this helps.
