Update: Model UN and Social Political Reading Group

Just an update that the Model UN team will be in Chicago next week, Thursday to Sunday. If you are on the team, please make sure you meet with your teachers to arrange any make up work. Also, remember that the competition is four days, eight hours a day. Please get rest and do not get run down before the conference.

If you are not on the Model UN team, please come back for future updates about your assignments while we are gone.

SOCIAL/POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY READING GROUP

For those interested in the Social and Political Philosophy reading group, this year's text will be John Searle's *The Making of the Social World*. It is a discovery into the structures that make up our institutions and the ways in which we conceive those institutions. We will pay particularly close attention to questions concerning poverty and human rights.

The groups will meet in the evenings at our house (113) from 8:30pm to 10:00pm. I hope to see all of you there.
