Welcome to the India Project!

The goal over the next three weeks is to examine the questions of why countries and economies collapse and to what extent we can make any predication as to whether or not India is in a position strong enough to avoid "collapse".

Your assignment is
1) To read the book White Tiger by Aravind Adiga
2) To read through the links provided in the next post
3) To begin independent research on India's economy and political climate
4) To formulate an independent argument as to whether or not India is in a position strong enough to avoid "collapse"
5) To join in on lectures and discussions regarding both the questions of "collapse" and India's global political and economic position.

What you will need to do is
1) Make daily postings on your reflections from the class and the reference material provided
2) Answer questions posted on the blog
3) Respond to each other's blog posts
4) Formulate a well defined position at the end of the three weeks (a two-page position paper) on the question of whether or not India is in a position strong enough to avoid "collapse"

Please note that your daily participation in both the class and on the blog will make up your grade, along with the final position paper you turn in.
